Well you may have noticed our little town ALWAYS has something going on and this weekend was the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival. Who knew you could have a whole festival on ONIONS! It was fun, just like a mini Blackfoot fair, but with more onions:) There was a cooking demo with several different chefs from different restaurants (here in Walla Walla there is either Micky-Ds or 5 star, which is slightly frustrating with children). Any who they were featuring 101 different recipes with Walla Walla Sweet Onions, it was cool we made it through 2 and the kiddos were done.
Downtown
OK venting a little, I'm SLIGHTLY FRUSTRATED. We have been looking for a house for the last 9 months and almost bought a house twice (different houses) after long nights of talking and trying to figure out what is RIGHT for our little family we decided not to buy either home and now are strictly looking for rentals. Justin works in Dayton which is like 30 mins from Walla Walla and gas is $4.40 something a gallon... yeah nice huh!

SO we have narrowed our search down to Dayton and there are NO RENTALS!!! Homes have been sitting on the market for over a year and no one is smart enough to rent them... GURRR! I have finally resorted to finding the homes which have been on the market the longest and are suitable for our little family, searching for the owner of the home on the Internet (yeah I feel a little shady about that!) calling them and asking them if they would be interested in renting to us. Keep in mind ALL these homes were built in like 1920-1960 that makes things even funner:) it that a word? WELL... I finally found a couple of people semi interested and they are going to get back to me so we will see, cross your fingers!!!
This one girl gave me the link to her house blog but accidentally gave me her personal blog its kinda funny, check it out: http://88words.typepad.com/ she talks about how much SHE HATES THE HOUSE AND TOWN. Yep can't wait to move there:) oh yeah and supposedly the house was haunted at one point also... NICE. She is actually really quite funny, I like her, a little off color:) Here is the actual house blog in case your interested: http://88words.typepad.com/203_south_1st/
Well all that being said I actually do WANT to move to Dayton but we just need somewhere to hang our hat:) It's a BEAUTIFUL little town, I can definitely handle a couple more years here, but the market REALLY makes me MISS our old house and I CAN"T BELIEVE how much we paid for it!!! I would take it back in a HEART BEAT!
We miss you little old Rockwell house, we really do!

Man, I can see why you miss your old house so much, too cute! I hope that things work out either with renting that house in Dayton or being able to manage your place. Of course I am hoping for the later more. The house does look pretty kept up inside. I read some of that girls blog, man I think being around her too long would bring me to suicidal thoughts. Well hope to see you sometime this week before we leave thurs. We need to get that tent to ya.
So, are those pics of your old house in Idaho Falls? CUTE!!! Oh my, cute! I think those older homes are so fun and offer a lot of character, but can also be lots of work. I would love though to have a house with hardwood floors, crown molding, original doors and fireplaces and the cute little bathtubs that sit on 4 legs! Is that the style?
Yes im still alive, just counting down the days until I have this baby :). I read that chicks blog, that really makes you want to move to Dayton. It was really funny to read. I thought that house looked fun to live at. I loved the wrap around porch. The tub and sink in the bathroom were awesome. Your house in Idaho Falls was darling and im sure that is why you are getting depressed. You do have amazing style and can make anything look cute. Good luck I hope you can get closer to your hubby's work. Kory only work's like 3 min away and it really is heaven.
Chy seriously you are so creative and an amazing decorator if I could I would hire you in a second to decorate my house. The marathon in Meridian sounds fun but it's six 1/2 hours from me so with gas the way it is I don't think it's possible maybe something will turn up. Good luck with house renting .
Chy- good luck on your 1/2 marathon! So if you check your blog patrol you will see that I have looked at your blog a few times. I'm not crazy... I just love the pics of your house, I had to show josh the kitchen and the two different colors. I have been thinking about it for our house but with the distressed white and a dark stain! Anyway...cute pictures!

Hey it's blurb.com, and you have to download the software, and then you can load all your posts into it. I was doing it Sunday, and couldn't quite get the template the way I wanted, let me know how it goes!
Sorry if I am butting in, but I got on your blog by mistake. IS this Justin Jorgenson that played baseball at hillcrest? If it is, this is Matt INglet's Mom. Clark coached Justin once in a big tournament in Colorado and Matt and Justin played ball at Hillcrest.
It is fun to see these boys grow up and have kids of their own. Then I am wondering if you are J.D. Lundblades sister? My husband coached JD and coached with your dad.
If you are these people you have adorable boys and why are you in Walla Walla. I am not going to ease drop on your blog anymore, but I was just wondering.
If you want to respond, I will look here or go to Inglet6@msn.com and drop us a line. Thanks, Roberta Inglet.
Sorry but I accidently got yours when I was blogging for someone else and yours popped up. Sorry again.
